Job Summary
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Deployment Manager will coordinate network and AMI endpoint activities, if applicable, to install system assets following a joint deployment plan co-developed with the utility. To support the deployment, plan the Deployment Manager will communicate and coordinate with the Program Manager, utility staff, possible direct reports, internal SME support staff, and/or field installation subcontractors. The position will also oversee all material forecasting, ordering, RMA, and assuring necessary inventory is available to execute the Deployment Plan. In addition, the planning and execution of required monthly field audits must be performed to evaluate processes and actual results of field staff to ensure safety, quality and functionality of the deployed equipment. Any process issues or defects of material installation must be documented, and the Deployment Manager must effectively communicate enhancements to the process, recommend actions if necessary, or return materials for evaluation. Finally, produce tracking and reporting of actual field results versus plan as necessary to monitor schedule performance and implement adjustments if necessary. A deployment manager may or may not be dedicated to one project, this will be determined by the scope of the projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- The Deployment Manager will lead, coordinate, communicate the deployment plan jointly with the utility.
- Oversee metering endpoint and network deployment efforts. Manage installation sub-contractors responsible for installing endpoints (if applicable) and devices in accordance with the deployment plan.
- Lead the L+G AMI endpoint and network deployment SMEs
- Manage the installation subcontractors in connection with safety, quality, productivity, and professionalism.
- Assist the Program Manager in working with product management to insure deficiencies and defects found during testing and/or deployment are addressed
- Lead logistics resources to manage supply of AMI endpoints and network materials required for achieving the deployment plan
- Review and upgrade endpoint sampling, deployment and crossdock processes.
- Manage the AMI endpoint and network equipment install audit process and oversee process improvement activites
- Develop deployment plan, reporting, and monitoring (include annual route plan, weekly targets)
- Manage network deployment to insure daily performance and milestones are met
- Provide any customer complaints or claims to utility for resolution
- Escalate issues for effective problem resolution
- Provide technical direction for the AMI endpoints, and network equipment deployment.
- Work with installation subcontractors in the field and at cross dock.
- Ensure AMI endpoint and network equipment sampling processes followed per utility requirements (if applicable)
- Work closely with logistics resources to manage supply of AMI endpoint and network equipment required for achieving the deployment plan
- Coordinate all supply chain and logistic activities to support deployment plans.
- Provide real-time safety reporting, and weekly/monthly reporting to L+G and utility for project subcontractors per Communication Plan
- Provide project data to utility scheduler as needed
- Receive invoices and validate for accuracy
- Supports and adheres to Company's core values

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Fluent in French and English
- Triage and prioritize deployment failures accordingly
- Must have excellent computer skills including the ability to utilize Excel, Word, Outlook, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
- Must have strong orientation toward providing customer satisfaction, establishing and maintaining effective process that ensure a reliable effective Company solution at multiple customer locations.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Business travel requires a personal credit card with a limit sufficient to cover Company's standard two week reimbursement cycle.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Basic abilities in schedule creation and management, quality and contract management.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and identify/manage key performance indicators (KPIs)

- Must have a valid driver's license.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a 4-year college or university or 2 year degree from a technical institution. Military/industry experience is also acceptable.
- Minimum of 5 years successful performance in a customer service / technical support related position supporting in an electronic technology related field including independent travel and customer contact.
- Experience with utility operations and logistical support, field operations, construction or related field; Automatic Meter Infrastructure (AMI) operations, Radio Frequency (RF) systems is a plus.
- CAPM Certification preferred or on track to get within the next year.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Safety/PPE/OHSAS:
- Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.
- Driving Status: up to 80%

Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English.
