Planning Manager

The Production Planning will lead the development and implementation of the Production Scheduling strategy to facilitate the cost-effective flow of mechandise from suppliers to customers. This role will be responsible for Demand Planning. 

  • Experience of SAP System with exposure to supply chain/production/meterial master/bill of materials/warehouse - internal and external
  • Understanding of capacity planning within a SAP environment (deputizing for MPS when required)
  • Overview of the daily build plan, that encompasses manufacturing cells and sub assembly areas
  • Deal with daily backlof of customer shipments - and scheduling deliveries and providing information to the Customer Service Team on past dues, missing components, recovery dates, tracking information, and support of the Supply Chain Team
  • Take necessary actions to eliminate delays to ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules. Create workflow changes as necessary on an on-going basis for prevention plan for timing issues. Communicate all changes to staff members to ensure engagement and comprehension
  • Supports in planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations
  • May work with manufacturing team and participates in the development of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters
  • Liaise with production team to communicate firm deliverables to the production plan
  • Support NPI product implementation
  • Reviewing production schedules and shipping schedules to ensure that orders are delivered on time
  • Coordinating with warehouse managers to ensure that items are available when they are needed
  • Collaborating with production to ensure that production schedules are in line with seasonal trends
  • Overview of the forecast of future demand based
  • Coordinating with other departments such as sales and marketing to ensure that products are available when customers need them
  • Works in close cooperation with peers to achieve the objectives related to delivery performace, inventories, and log costs
  • Liaise with Sales organization on demand management and customer delivery
  • Assure the flawless material supply to the production
  • Anticipate potential problems and risks, and generate ideas, insight, and solutions to resolve potential problems, followed by decisive action to implement solutions
  • To work according of the I.M.S. including ISO 9K, 45K, 14K, 27K, and 22301

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of production planning/purchasing/logistics management
  • Strong SAP skills (S4/Hana Implementation is a plus)
  • +5 years SAP (Demand Planning)
  • Microsoft Office Excel (Vlook up/Pivot tables, etc)
  • Full understanding of the supply chain process
  • Planning, negotiations, and agreements/contract management experience
  • Electronic Requirement Planning knowledge
  • Apics Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial and leadership experience in supply Chain Management within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • English business fluency is a must
  • Negotiations and communciation capability
  • Ability to lead/participate in multinational project/working groups
  • Track record of driving operational excellence, implementing significant improvements resulting in cost reductions
  • High energy, data driven, and results oriented
  • Excellent change management skills, hands-on and results oriented with a fearless approach to work

Required Experience:

  • Master Scheduling, MRP and Inventory Control, ERP System Knowledge (or equivalent)
  • Information Management Systems (MS Office, SAP and Agility)
  • Business degree in Engineering or Bussines Administration, and / or the equivalent work experience
