The position of Logistics Manager is responsible for running logistics operations at the Reynosa Plant, and supporting 3PL warehouse sites that support internal and external customers for NAM Operations. These resposibilities include: managing daily warehouse operations, overseeing international shipments, supervising kanban stocking levels, storage/inventory space management, assisting in hiring and training personnel when needed. The Sr. Logistics Supervisor will also maintain warehouse and logistics metrics for the Reynosa Plant. These metrics include: On-Time In-Full Delivery, Shipping & Receiving Efficiency, Cycle Count Accuracy, Inventory Turns, and Excess and Obsolete Material management. This will require close interaction with Landis+Gyr team members in multiple locations across the US and external transportation companies.

In this role, the Sr. Logistics Supervisor will:

  • Manage 3PL warehouse sites, logistics and distribution for the Reynosa Plant
  • Manage milk runs and kanban inventories thoughout to the plant to ensure replenishment operates uninterrupted
  • Oversee the receipts of direct and indirect material
  • Manage the Import/Export Department
  • Maintain accurate data in SAP for the areas of: receiving, storage, and final product transfer areas
  • Ship the finished product and RMA's to the customer
  • Track and resolve issues tied to customer shipments
  • Responsible for maintaining the physical inventory at the Reynosa Plant and at 3PL warehouses
  • Maintains and reports on the following metrics: On-Time In-Full Delivery, Shipping & Receiving Efficiency, Cycle Count Accuracy, Inventory Turns, and Excess and Obsolete Material management
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Implement corrective and previntive actions through internal audit or inventory analysis and is actively involved in logistics continuous improvement activities
  • Oversee the proper training to people in logistics, distribution, importation and exportation
  • Control of use and maintenance of forklifts
  • To work according of the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301

Required Skills:

  • Manager experience 3 years
  • Advanced experience in the position is essential (Warehouse Management)
  • Experience on Support High Spreed Pace 24/7 Operation
  • Experience on SAP WMS (Scanning process on E2E ISCM process)
  • Knowledge of inventory management and control, Kanban system, kiting, supermarkets, milk runs, drip delivery
  • PFEP Experience
  • Experience on International Shipments (Sud America, Asia Pacific and Europe)
  • Experience on shipments under different incoterms (EXW, DDP, FOB, CIF)
  • Logistics, Traffic and Invenotry analysis
  • APICS/ASCM
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Green or Black belt Preferred)
  • Knowledge ERP System
  • English (Fluent 85%) to communicate to all levels
