Maintenance Manager

As a core member of the Technical Function team, the Maintenance Manager is a proven leader to oversee the Maintenance department in our location in Reynosa, Mexico (US$ 400 million revenue).
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company's facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring maximum efficient operations of our machinery and equipment as well as monitoring the safety of our equipment. The duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activites, and developing maintenance procedures. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and robotic / automation equipment.
This position reports to the Technical Function Manager in Reynosa, Mexico.
Core area of responsibility:
- Plant, direct, and monitor preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities so that the orfanization's machinery, and equipment operate reliably
- Plan, prioritize, schedule, and manage maintenance activities to rectify break-downs and malfunctions and minimize business disruptions
- Develop and implement repair and maintenance procedures
- Monitor the cost effectiveness of activities to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and achieve timeliness, reliability, and safety standards
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with contractors to minimize costs and ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
- Liaise with managers throughout the company to coordinate scheduled maintenance activities with their operations
- Prepare work orders and monitor the progress of work against estimates
- Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop maintenance staff so repair and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on-time
- To work according of the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301
Core technical skills:
- Strong knowledge and technical understanding of machines and equipment
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience in planning maintenance operations
- Knowledges about fire suppression system as well air conditioning
- Understanding of lean and six sigma principles and applications
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, use hands and/or fingers, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds amid a moderate work environment
- Ability to work on tasks at varying heights
- Be able to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Experience in implementation and maintaining programs to ensure that the plant meets company requirements for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and regulary requirements

Eduacational / professional qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing
- 15+ years of experience in maintenance and management in a manufacturing environment is required
- Must be able to flex hours to support 24-7 operations
- English language skills
Position may require some travel to vendor sites as well as between Landis+Gyr locations to meet with project teams, external partners and/or business customers.
