Import / Export Supervisor

The Import / Export Supervisor support the importation of Raw Materials, tooling, machinery and production equipments for the manufacturing process, also the exportation of finished goods, waste and scrap according to budgetary guidelines, US and Mexican custom laws.

In this role, the Import / Export Supervisor will:

  • To realize activities of customs office being guaranteed the fulfillment of the Mexican legislation in the matter of Customs and of foreign trade.
  • To participate in the obtaining of permissions and authorizations before governmental dependencies.
  • To present/display in form and time before the SHCP and the annual declaration of assembly plants.
  • Control Mexican and American custom agencies.
  • Participate in the achievement the goals department
  • Maintenance the communication with all Landis & Gyr departments.
  • To train, develop and evaluate the employee’s department
  • To participate in the planning, to suggest and to propose recommendations to the department of finances for the profit of the programmed and established objectives.
  • Participate in the recruitment of the new department employees.
  • To supervise and to administer the activities of the area and the development of the employees who realize based on the objectives and settled down resources assigned.
  • Participate in the Mexican and American carrier companies.
  • Ensure compliance with the obligations that the VAT &IEPS Certification demands in conjunction with the Finance department.
  • Ensure that the department complies with mandatory training.
  • Attend to any requirement of the authority regarding foreign trade activities
  • Person in charge of the activities of the Mexican and American carrier companies.
  • Development of Import/Export processes to ensure compliance with them and register them in our ISO system.
  • To work according of the I.M.S.  (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 14K, 18K, 27K and 22301.

Required Experience:

  • Business, Accounting, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree and/or position experience.
  • Experience at least 3 years
  • Knowledge of the Vastera system.
  • Knowledge in Traffic Coordination
  • Creation of Permissions and/or authorizations before different dependencies.
  • Driving knowledge of Annex 24 & 30.
  • Experience in Import/Export area at least 2 years
  • Knowledge of Mexican commerce and custom laws
  • Knowledge in updates of Mexican custom law.
  • Experience working in maquila environment.
