Import-Export Assistant

The Import & Export Assitant carry out administrative activities aimed at guaranteeing and ensuring compliance with Mexican Legislation on customs and foreign trade, by reviewing the documentation used in import and export operations of productive material and machinery and equipment.

In this role, the Import & Export Assistant will:

  • Maintenance of Annex 24
  • Review Import and Export invoices according to the different Customs Regimes
  • Maintain and control the files of invoices and pedimentos in an orderly and updated manner
  • Request and maintain a file of Certificates of Origin per year
  • Participate in the achievement of the goals assigned to the department
  • Maintain communication with all areas of Landis&Gyr
  • Coordinate new product operations
  • Ensure that the imported merchandise is in the BOMs
  • Maintain control of loading and unloading of customs declarations
  • Work according to the guidelines of the Quality System and with the ISO-9001 Standard (adapt if it changes)
  • Review of finished product numbers with your BOM
  • Check merchandise balances (expiration dates)
  • Verify units of measurement of raw material vs SAP
  • To work according of the I.M.S. (Integrated Management System) which includes ISO 9K, 18K, 14K, 27K, and 22301
  • Coordination with Carriers to ensure compliance with import and export operations
  • Invoicing and monitoring of import and export operations of the different customs regimes
  • Participation in the administration for compliance with Annex 31 (Consolidation of inventory control systems)
  • Verification of weekly consolidated customs declarations according to the type of operation
  • Creation of R8's ante vucem for the import regime
  • Control of output equipment and its corresponding export

Required Skills:

Required Experience:

  • Business, Accounting, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree and/or position experience
  • Experience in the area of Import-Export minimum 2 in a similar position
  • Training in everything related to customs and foreing trade laws
  • Up-to-date knowledge for the application of laws and regulations in customs and foreign trade
