About the job:

The role is accountable for the Converge product (head-end and data acquisition system for utility business), its development and customer delivery and is tailored for an experienced business and poeple leader who oversees and manages software development, solution architecture, consulting, and its delivery to customers internationally incl. technical services. Is leading a team of up to 10 direct and 16 indirect reports as well as external workforce (time & material). The role is based in Prague, Czech Republic, with direct/indirect reports based in Prague, Ostrava, Bratislava, and in Poland. Collaborates cross-functionally (e.g. bid management, sales, order management, customer programmes, commercial finance) within the EMEA region.

Key Performance Indicators:

• Level of motivation and spirit within the team and the department
• Budget Compliance within the respective area of responsibility
• Feedback from solution implementation projects and / or customer satisfaction surveys
• Add-on services growth in compliance with budget

Key areas of accountability:

• Successfully deliver appropriate software and solutions support for projects and customers

• Deliver a profitable and professional service to internal and external customers and manage invoicing of these service deliveries
• Budget, forecast, and maintain the respective cost centre accounts to ensure a competitive cost level is attained
• Coordinate and execute Level 2 responsibility for implementation projects and / or customer support
• Ensure and continuously improve fault inflow and resolving speed
• Effectively manage, coach and motivate team
• Be Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing and resources are in place to ensure the successful delivery of software solutions and projects
• Manage employee satisfaction and motivation within team
• Ensure that effective communication within the Customer Projects function is maintained
• Closely cooperate and coordinate deliverables with Product Development, Product Management, Project Engineering, Project Management, and a network of 3rd party suppliers
• Accountable for business development as joint efforts with Sales department

• Proven track of successful business development activity
• Excellent analytical skills incl. application of methods for analyses
• Proven leadership track in customer relationship management principles in the area of systems, solutions and processes
• Project engineering experience
• Achieved targets in complex projects with management visibility 
• Understanding of continuous improvement (contribution) of technical support and service processes
• People, budget and resources management skills
• Solid experience within a multi-national/cultural environment

You are somene who is:

• A seasoned communicator and negotiater, English and Czech or Slovak speaker
• A resourceful leader for mutliple fields of expertise and project delivery
• Confident in implementing systems and process to manager risk

Your technology background should include:

• Communication Technologies
• Software
• Servers and IT infrastructure
• Device Technologies
• Extensive experience in working in a system specialist role within the IT industry
• Measurement technology or smart metering business (strongly preferred)

Essential Requirement:
Engineering degree with focus in IT, system solutions or similar, alternatively strong vocational qualification in Business Information Technology combined with experience from utility business and/or energy management (strongly desirable)
