For our EMEA Software, Solutions and Services function, we are looking for a technically skilled professional ideally from the energy utility business to join a small, flexible, and agile team focused on implementation of our smart metering software to our utility customers in Europe as well as worldwide. The primary location Prague, CZ or possibly Katowice PL area.

As an engineer for system software (head-end systems for advanced energy metering solutions for industrial customers, B2B), you provide in-depth analysis, software upgrade, migration, implementation, and testing. You will be co-operating with customer service team, sales engineers, experts from R&D and project management. Together with the team, you shall provide to the Customer expertise for our application supported by basic knowledge at least some of the following 3rd party technologies Windows or Linux OS, Oracle or PostgreSQL database, Python, Shell Scripting, .NET or SQL.

About the role

• Strong Customer oriented approach, consulting skills, understand the business requirements
• Implement (install, parametrize and test) Landis+Gyr software solutions into our utility customers, both on-premise and cloud based and become an expert in this area
• Come with implementation overview and be able to document it

About You

• You possess a technical degree/education, e.g. Technician, BSc or equivalent.
• You have at least 2 years’ experience working on the software engineering or technical services and support, and desirably in the SW Solutions implementation in Customer environment.
• The knowledge of working with DevOps in Cloud would be an added value.
• You are analytical and a service oriented, and you have problem solving skills.
• It is important that you have ability to learn and adapt new things easily. As we operate in a truly international environment, you need to have knowledge of spoken and written English in addition to be native/proficient in Czech or Slovak language skills. 
• To be successful on the job, you are able to follow recommended steps and find an effective solution, you have a hands-on and customer-focused approach being able to communicate with a Customer about technical details  and eagerness to contribute to our mission to help the world manage energy better!
