For our EMEA Software, Solutions and Services function, we are looking for a technically skilled engineer to join a small, flexible and agile team focused on implementation of our smart metering software to our utility customers in Europe as well as worldwide. The primary location Prague, CZ, or possibly another location (Katowice, PL).
 
As an engineer for system software (head-end systems for advanced energy metering solutions for industrial customers, B2B), you provide in-depth analysis, software upgrades/migrations and installation and testing, co-operating with customer service team, sales engineers, experts from R&D and project management. 

About the role

• Implement (installing and parametrize) Landis+Gyr software solutions into our industrial customers’ critical infrastructure, both on-premise and cloud based 
• Be or become an expert for the application (Converge)  
• Propose description of implementation to the documentarist
• Provide to the Customer expertise for our application supported by basic knowledge one from following 3rd party technologies Windows or Linux OS, Oracle or PostgreSQL database

 
About you

• You possess a technical degree/education, e.g. Technician, BSc or equivalent. 
• You have at least 3 years’ experience working on the software engineering or technical services and support, and desirably in the SW Solutions implementation in Customer environment.
• In addition, you have experience in working with at least some of following technologies and scripting languages: Gitlab, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, Shell Scripting, .NET or SQL (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• The knowledge of working with DevOps in Cloud would be an added value.
• You are analytical and a service oriented, and you have problem solving skills.
• It is important that you have ability to learn and adapt new things easily. As we operate in a truly international environment, you need to have knowledge of spoken and written English in addition to be able to speak French or German.  
• To be successful on the job, you are able to follow recommended steps and find an effective solution, you have a hands-on and customer-focused approach being able to communicate with a customer about technical details and eagerness to contribute to our mission to help the world manage energy better!
