This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Controller to join a small EMEA Commercial Finance team to support our sales opportunities from financial projecting perspective. In this role you will act as business partner Project Delivery Managers, ensuring consistent project controlling and reporting across EMEA entities, and driving profitable execution together with project managers.
Key Performance Indicators:
Business targets: Project revenue, Project margin, NCC, Project cash flow (vs. budget)
Function targets: Alignment of business cases to bids and tenders, accurate reporting of customer projects, accuracy of project outlook, timeliness
Ownership and responsibility for agreed tasks
Your future responsibilities will include:
- Prepare financial business cases to support customer bids and tenders in the EMEA region;
- Advise bid team on all financial impacts of proposed pricing;
- Improve constantly the business case processes and financial model;
- Perform financial planning and controlling for selected customer projects across EMEA Region
- Ensure proper project accounting according to Landis+Gyr guidelines and applicable accounting standards (e.g., ASC606)
- Ensure revenue reporting is compliant with US GAAP revenue recognition standards;
- Support sales team in bid phase and provides necessary financial inputs for the business case
- Financial planning and controlling of customer projects in the entrusted cluster/scope with a specific focus on A Class projects
- Provide monthly project reporting and prepares management reviews (EMEA Management/Group) with Commercial Finance Head
- Perform regular reviews with risk managers, identifying specific risks and mitigation actions. Ensures adequate provisions and contingencies are maintained for his/her projects
- Help to develop, harmonize and maintain project controlling and reporting framework and tools across the EMEA Region
- Provide feedback to the management incl. interpretations and trends
- Provide market insight through data availability
We would like a successful candidate to bring:
- University degree preferably majoring in finance/accounting
- Business Use of English, written and spoken
- Minimum 5 years of experience from corporate finance, whereof at least 2 years in controlling (project controlling of a big advantage)
- Knowledge of accounting & controlling principles as well as project controlling tools and standards
- Practical knowledge and experience using SAP PS and/or FI/CO modules
- Experience with SAP Business Warehouse of advantage
- Knowledge of Contract Accounting Standards (AC606) of a big advantage
- Excellent analytical and MS Excel skills
- Strong communicator in an international environment with exposure to senior management
