Technical Implementation Manager (Premium Support)

 

 

The Technical Implementation Manager (Premium Support) delivers and supports the Company’s Gridstream Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution to the Company’s customers using a structured deployment and support lifecycle to ensure a quality customer experience. While working closely with a program management team, this role evaluates client business processes, consults with clients on technical feasibility and integration of processes utilizing the AMI solutions, implements appropriate system configurations, features and services for optimal system and network performance, and validates system release quality to achieve client acceptance and satisfaction.

Primary Statement of Duties


•    Works with customer requirements to propose technical solutions.
•    Acts as primary technical resource that collaborates with the client throughout the system lifecycle and partners with a customer to develop requirements and propose technical solutions.
•    Performs customer system testing and validation.
•    Ensures network performance meets customer specifications.
•    Troubleshoots network and software performance problems and proposes remedy options.
•    Provides functional and operational recommendations into the New Product Introduction (NPI) process based on client feedback.
•    Directs & implements new firmware, Device Control Word (DCW), and software releases with customer program.
•    Establishes and monitors system performance reporting, recognizing adverse trends and taking necessary preventative and corrective actions.
•    Works closely with the Field Engineers to resolve complex issues relation to wireless communications and integrated software applications.
•    Investigates system failures, registration failures, and interactive read failures in system deployments.
•    Acts as liaison between Customer, corporate development resources, and local project team to resolve technical issues based on in-depth customer knowledge.
•    Supports creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for technical elements of the system that are effective and repeatable. Directs and executes system upgrades including the network with new software releases.
•    Annually performs an in-depth review of customers implementation and configuration of L+G systems, including but not limited to, Head-End Systems (HES), meter firmware, and other customer software applications. 
•    Server setup recommendations including hardware, software and operating systems.
•    Evaluation of system database processes and performance.
•    System processing and integrations against performance parameters
•    Analysis of current operating methodology and evaluation of system against future features or processes.
•    Compellation of release specifications, customer requirements and initiation of detailed test cases against specifications and requirements. 
•    Exchange of information and expertise, culminating in a written report and educational workshop to impart findings, learnings, and recommendations back to the customer.
•    Lead Annual Network Health Checks
•    Lead/participate in an in-depth review of customers implementation and utilization of L+G hardware and network equipment, including but not limited to, collectors/gateways, routers, and meters.
•    Perform analysis on customers hardware and network equipment for each designated area or the entire System based on customers roadmap of future growth, business projections, and other projected changes or initiatives.
•    Evaluation/support of the system is minimally against but not limited to the following areas:
•    Evaluation of collector/gateway loading for traffic and endpoints
•    Evaluation of logical routing for optimal performance of the network
•    System level performance by collector area
•    Evaluation of hop counts grouped by collector/gateway
•    Evaluation of system and device level configurations utilized in routing
•    Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.
•    Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
•    Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
•    Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.
•    Represents the Customer in Company’s obligations based on service’s contracts.

 


Education and Experience


•    Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor's Degree.  Equivalent years of related/ applicable experience will be considered (4-5 years minimum in lieu of degree).
•    Required Minimum Years of Relevant Experience with degree: 1-3 years

 


Desired Education/Experience


•    Bachelor of Science degree required. (Advanced degree desired).
•    Experience in working with solutions involving both software and hardware. 
•    Experience in process definition and design to meet overall business objectives. 
•    Experience with managing cross-functional highly technical project teams. 
•    Requires a minimum of 1 year of related experience. 
•    Energy industry and/or Utility operations experience is a plus.
•    Business Process consulting experience a plus.
•    Experience with direct customer and contract management.
•    Experience with .NET framework and WebServices required. 
•    Experience with Linux (remote terminal session, vi, crontab, shell scripting, process monitoring, Perl) a plus.
•    Experience with Oracle 19c required (SQL*Plus, PL/SQL).
•    Experience with Microsoft SQL Server a plus.
•    Experience with Kafka/Zookeeper a plus.
•    Experience in code development and scripting (Python, PowerShell,…) a plus.

 
Required/Desired Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

Pay is in the range of $94,000 - $146,851 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
