Key Purpose of Role: 

This role has responsibility for design & development, or customization, of Electronic hardware for Energy Meters, as per end customer requirements, while, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Identify the quality KPI’s and ensure compliance at each stage.

 

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:

 

  1. Identify Architectural design blocks & implement electronic circuits for each block to meet relevant specifications and functionality.
  2. Coordinate with Project Management Team to ensure projects schedule compliance.
  3. Coordinate with procurement & vendors for component sourcing & vendor development.
  4. Coordinate with Manufacturing and EMS Vendors to ensure smooth execution of pilot production runs. Assist in development of various electronic jigs & fixtures at EMS vendor & manufacturing sites.
  5. Coordinate with Mechanical design team to ensure that complete product design meets the ergonomic, aesthetic and safety requirements as well as DFM requirements.
  6. Coordinate with Validation team to resolve the issues/defects identified.
  7. Coordinate with Firmware team to resolve issues/defects in electronic hardware and embedded firmware.
  8. Involvement in complete project Life-Cycle Activities (requirement gathering, elaboration, solicit clarification, understanding WBS, documentation, design reviews, Unit Testing/verification, validation)
  9. Imparting training related with product design and technical know-hows.
  10. Coordinate with PCB CAD team members to ensure PCB design meets the functionality as well as relevant EMI/EMC, Safety & DFM requirements.

 

Qualifications and Additional Requirements

 

  1. Relevant tertiary qualification  - B.E, B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech,MCA
  2. Exposure to ISO and CMMI Process quality standards. 
  3. Exposure to electronic product manufacturing processes.
