Senior Engineer- Cloud Developer

We are looking for a cloud developer who have experience in developing and deploying high value and high-volume cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate is a full-stack web developer capable of using a variety of modern web development frameworks, languages, and techniques.
In partnership with multiple stakeholders, you will focus on developing and delivering leading edge cloud solutions using Google Cloud and, as a key member of our development team ensure success in developing and building complex world-class applications on public cloud.

  1. Works on backend services (Flask, Django, Springboot).
  2. Has experience with Containerization and Orchestration services (Kubernetes, Docker).
  3. Supports CI/CD infrastructure for microservices based cloud product (Terraform).
  4. Collaborates with software architect to ensure selected architecture can be easily deployed.
  5. Designs, develops, codes, tests, and debugs cloud applications.
  6. Builds highly scalable service-based web application using modern microservice-based REST APIs.
  7. Works closely with engineering and marketing teams to understand end-user requirements and use cases and translates them into effective technical solutions.
  8. Helps improve code quality through writing unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews.
  9. Participates in brainstorming sessions and contributes to our innovative and original products.
  10. Works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, supporting many products on varied release cycles.
  11. Identifies and corrects bottlenecks to improve application performance.


Expectations for Skills & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering Business or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  2. Candidates must have strong expertise in test methodologies along with excellent problem-solving skills.
  3. Experience in Google Cloud Platform (valuable Cloud Run and Dataflow).
  4. Experience with software development in Python or Java (C# is a plus).
  5. Experience building and running containerized software using Docker and Kubernetes.
  6. Strong background in continuous integration and deployment pipelines, including GitLab.
  7. Experience with Terraform / Ansible is a plus.
