Key Purpose / Areas of Responsibility

Key Purpose of Role:  
•    The role requires testing in a fast-paced, time sensitive project and switch from one task to another and follow the work plan to meet project milestones. 
•    The job requires excellent working knowledge of the testing methodologies and the quality processes, expert in specifying and selecting the right test cases, to minimize risk of failure in the released product and assure the product meeting customer expectations. 
•    Able to analyzing test results, performing data validation, tracking defects and providing regular status. 
•    The job requires someone who is highly skilled in using different techniques while performing testing tasks related to database, backend processes and front-end applications.  
•    As part of the role you will be required to provide mentoring/coaching for software test engineers, developers etc.  

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:

• Write test cases, execute them, analyze test results, perform data validation, track defects and provide regular status.
• Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end system architecture and its functionalities.
• To analyse test results, perform data validation, tracking defects and providing regular status.
• Troubleshoot test environment related issues and capture and analyze the required logs for problem rectification/resolution and prevent recurring. Should be hands on Unix/ Linux related systems and be able & willing to dig logs to troubleshoot.
• Use different techniques while performing testing tasks related to database, backend processes and front-end applications. Writing and executing medium level to complex level SQL queries 
• Provide detailed & relatively accurate estimates for the testing efforts. Effectively communicate on project deliverables to stakeholders in a clear fashion. Escalate timely risks.
• Ability to work in teams which are self-organizing and can manage work to achieve quality, customer-focused solutions delivered in a timely manner
• Experience in SOAP/Webservices/APIs testing.
• Basic understanding of Web technologies, including architecture, server configurations, XML.
• Working experience with the Agile Scrum development model
• Experience with performance testing in the Cloud/On Prem is a advantage.
• Experience in writing scripts will be a plus in any scripting language preferably in python or perl.
• Good working knowledge in software automation technologies such as Python, Robot and Selenium.

• Good understanding of OOPS.

• Experience with relational database (Preferably Oracle)

• Software Testing experience with Web, GUI, Database  and Client/Server applications on multiple platforms

Professional Expereince :  4 to 6 years in testing

Qualification :  

Relevant tertiary qualification  - B.E (CS, IT, ECE), B.Tech, M.E, M.Tech, MCA
