This new role in our Global IT Infrastructure team will drive an effective backup/DR strategy for key applications and platforms.  You'll also support requirements analysis and solutions architecture for cloud-hosted business applications and R&D environments as part of our cloud-first strategy.

We seek a strategic thinker with deep knowledge of modern IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.  You should have a proven track record of designing and implementing resilient solutions.  Flexibility and the ability to self-drive projects while collaborating with a diverse, global team are essential.  This role is crucial for ensuring the availability, security, and continuity of our critical systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate Backup/DR strategies for key applications and platforms
• Execute our Backup/DR program to comply with IT and security policies
• Design cloud-based IT infrastructure for business applications and R&D environments in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Contribute to global infrastructure strategy and roadmaps

Experience Required

• Designing and implementing Backup/DR solutions
• IT infrastructure for cloud solutions (preferably GCP)
• Data centre technologies (compute, storage, networking)
• Backup and replication technologies
• TCP/IP and WAN connectivity
• Firewalls and Access Control Rules (ACRs)
• Managing tasks and executing projects
• Documenting requirements and architectural solutions
• Working with geographically dispersed teams
• Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Cloud computing architecture qualifications and certifications (e.g. Google Professional Cloud Architect)
• Vendor certificates (e.g. Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare, Commvault, etc)
