The Landis+Gyr Co-op program is designed to enhance the quality and scope of learning by providing students with the option of integrating academic study with related, work-based learning.  Applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate program and available for an alternating rotating semester schedule. This first rotation begins January 2025 for the 3-semester rotation and the student will be working fulltime hours Monday through Friday on-site at our Lafayette, IN location.  Expected graduation date should be December 2026 or later to allow enough time for 3 working semesters alternating with 3 school semesters.  This is a paid position but we don't offer housing assistance so candidates local to the Lafayette, IN area are preferred.

 

 

Student Objectives/Responsibilities: 


o    mTAMs (Mechanical Tooling Asset Management System) Excel template update and data coordination.


o    Review and storage of CAD tooling models for new molds


o    Project status verification and manufacturer process verification


o    Tester Equipment Dismantling. Disassemble old test equipment for re-using, repurposing, or recycling.


o    Soldering of through hole components for test fixture cards.


o    eTAMS (electrical tools) data entry, review, and analysis.


o    Development of a NPI build request form for NPI builds in Reynosa, including the PT Lab

 

 

Education/Experience:

 

Co-op applicants must be undergraduate students working towards their Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
