The Landis+Gyr Co-op program is designed to enhance the quality and scope of learning by providing students with the option of integrating academic study with related, work-based learning. Applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate program and available for an alternating rotating 3-semester schedule.  This rotation begins May 2025 for the 3-semester rotation the student will be working on site Monday through Friday approximately 40 hours per week in Lafayette, Indiana.  This is a paid position but we don't offer housing assistance so candidates local to the Lafayette, IN area are preferred.

General Engineering Lab Rotation (First Rotation) 

•    Compliance Testing and Applications (80%)

o    Theory and practical application of Revenue Metering
o    Introduction to Compliance Engineering and Testing Methods
o    Data Collection, Evaluation and Analysis
o    Interpretation of International and Domestics Standards and test procedures
o    Test Equipment Calibration and Certification
o    Engineering evaluation of component, assembly and product 

•    Continuous Improvement Project Focused on Test System Design and Automation (20%)

o    System Integration, Design and Assembly

•    Advance Compliance Testing and Applications (50%)

Required Skills: 

•    Personal Computer knowledge

•    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

•    Keyboard/typing skills

•    Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Required Experience: 

Co-op applicants must be undergraduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Engineering, Engineering Technology, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Data Science or other relevant major required.
