The Landis+Gyr Co-op program is designed to enhance the quality and scope of learning by providing students with the option of integrating academic study with related, work-based learning. Applicants must be enrolled in the undergraduate program and available for an alternating rotating semester schedule:  This first rotation begins August, 2024 for the 3-semester rotation the student will be working in Lafayette, Indiana.  Expected graduation date should be 2026/2027 to allow enough time for 3 working semesters alternating with 3 school semesters.  This is a paid position but we don't offer housing assistance so candidates local to the Lafayette, IN area are preferred.

 


General Engineering Lab Rotation (First Rotation) 


•    Compliance Testing and Applications (80%)


o    Theory and practical application of Revenue Metering
o    Introduction to Compliance Engineering and Testing Methods
o    Data Collection, Evaluation and Analysis
o    Interpretation of International and Domestics Standards and test procedures
o    Test Equipment Calibration and Certification
o    Engineering evaluation of component, assembly and product 


•    Continuous Improvement Project Focused on Test System Design and Automation (20%)


o    System Integration, Design and Assembly


General Engineering Lab Rotation (Second Rotation)


•    Advance Compliance Testing and Applications (50%)


•    Continuous Improvement Project Focused on Test System Design and Automation (50%)

Required Skills: 


•    Personal Computer knowledge


•    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite


•    Keyboard/typing skills


•    Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.


 

Required Experience: 


Co-op applicants must be undergraduate students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Engineering, Engineering Technology, Applied Physics, Computer Science, Data Science or other relevant major required.
