Key Responsibilities:


•    Lead the production organization to achieve the highest quality performance, while maintaining a positive and productive work environment. 
•    Institute a consistent system of controls, which measure performance against the Cross Dock production plan. 
•    Recruit and train the production employees. 
•    Coordinate the outfitting and upgrades on the facilities. 
•    Develop a capacity/inventory plan to proactively plan people, equipment and materials requirements. 
•    Lead the development and implementation of Total Quality Management on the production floor by training and implementing Statistical Process Control Methods and Analysis. 
•    Enhance the material handling, flow strategies and floor layout to increase productivity while minimizing WIP and manufacturing cycle times. 
•    Supervise up to (5) warehouse operators or temporary labor.
•    Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


•    Forklift certified
•    Personal Computer knowledge 
•    Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite 
•    Keyboard/typing skills 
•    Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. 
•    Familiarity with SAP 


Accountabilities:


•    Excellent analytical, technical, communication, and team building skills. 
•    Ability to manage the physical facility, maintain budget and inventory controls 


Education and Experience:


•    BS in Logistics or BA in Business with an advanced degree preferred. (MS or MBA) 
•    5 years production management experience. 


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Safety/PPE/OHSAS: 


•    Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc. 
 
•    Driving Status: Deliver/transport product from/to vendors, subcontractors, customers, points of sale as required. Complete vehicle inspections and annual drivers training.
  
•    Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English. Reasonable accommodations provided for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 
  
•    Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company. If required, must be able to work while wearing safety equipment such as hard hats, work boats, gloves, hearing protection, and others.

Pay is in the range of $61,859 - $74,512 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
