Job Summary
Landis+Gyr is seeking a customer-centric and results-driven Sr. Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives that drive measurable outcomes for our utility customers. This role will serve as the primary customer interface, responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects that align with strategic objectives and contractual commitments.
Candidates should possess a deep understanding of the project life cycle and experience managing cross-functional programs using both stage gate and agile methodologies. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments and consistently delivers value to customers through disciplined execution, proactive risk management, and effective stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer project delivery, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring expectations are clearly defined, managed, and exceeded.
- Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver project scope on time and within budget in accordance with customer contracts.
- Execute projects with a customer-first mindset, ensuring milestones and deliverables reflect business outcomes, not just technical outputs.
- Manage project parameters including scope, schedule, risk, budget, quality, and stakeholder engagement.
- Apply Landis+Gyr’s PMO governance and project delivery methodologies to maintain consistency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming) and measure team performance using key metrics.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, managing change requests and facilitating impact assessments.
- Influence stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external, to ensure buy-in and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track and report financials, resource allocation, and progress to key stakeholders, including executive summaries and dashboards.
- Lead conflict resolution, promote collaborative problem solving, and ensure a smooth project experience for the customer.
- Represent Landis+Gyr in a professional and consultative manner throughout the customer engagement.
- Ensure compliance with Landis+Gyr’s core values, Code of Conduct, and safety standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong grasp of project delivery frameworks (Agile, Stage Gate, PMI standards) and how they align to customer outcomes.
- Proficiency with project scheduling tools (Microsoft Project preferred), project dashboards, and financial tracking.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Demonstrated customer advocacy—the ability to translate business needs into delivery actions and navigate customer environments with professionalism.
- Proven ability to lead without authority, motivating global and remote teams toward a common goal.
- Adept at balancing competing demands and making informed decisions in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects across a matrixed organization and varying time zones.
- Resilient and adaptable with excellent change management skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to support key project milestones and customer engagement.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems Management or related disciplines.
• 7+ years' experience in Project Management
• Experience in utility, telecommunications, IT or similarly regulated industries is highly preferred.
• PMP Certified or similar
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Safety/PPE/OHSAS:
• Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.
• Driving Status: Must be able to drive frequently, travel up to 50%
• Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English. • Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company. If required, must be able to work while wearing safety equipment such as hard hats, work boats, gloves, hearing protection, and others.

Pay is in the range of $94,000 - $146,851 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
