Network Analyst II

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily network device discovery process.
  • Manage daily meter discovery process.
  • Manage daily meter exception population and disposition accordingly.
  • Monitor Head End System events and communicate with the project team and Network Operations Center in a timely manner.
  • Work with the Program & Project Managers to ensure all planned deliverables are achieved according to schedule.
  • Employ system monitoring principles.
  • Participate in joint Landis+Gyr/Customer project meetings and provide status updates as required.
  • Participate in development of Managed Service reporting applications and reports.
  • Analyze and respond to system reports, conduct testing, triage failures, and dispatch repair crews as needed.
  • Resolve and/or direct customer inquiries to the respective project team and or managed services team member. Work with the appropriate Landis+Gyr staff and customer contact accordingly.
  • Represent the company in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers.
  • Forward applicable CILs, CSAs, & RFCs to the customer.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong computer skills with experience with MS Project, Excel, Word & TEAMs.
  • Knowledgeable in SQL Developer and UNIX operating system
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience troubleshooting RF Network.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

 

Accountabilities

  • Little to no decision-making required.
  • Act as a liaison for Customer Service, Technical Support, and internal and external Fortis project teams.

 

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in electronics, computer science, and/or 5 years of industry-related experience.
  • 2+ yrs. experience in technical customer service/support roles.
  • AMR/AMI system and utility industry experience strongly preferred.

Pay is in the range of $67,100 - $100,287 per year.  The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
