We are looking for a Business Analyst | Cost & Value Engineering to join our team in Jyväskylä, Finland or in Nuremberg, Germany. The focus of this role is on improving the governance of Cost & Value Engineering and creating financial transparency to monitor product costs and related KPI's throughout the organization and the overall product life cycle.

 

You can be a junior with less experience as long as you are inspired by the role and operating environment, and you are willing to learn new things every day. If the role will be located in Finland, the reporting relationship remains with Head of Global Cost & Value Engineering, and you will have the support of a local administrative supervisor and organization of experts.

 

Within this role, reporting to the Head of Global Cost & Value Engineering, you’ll be responsible for

 

  • analyzing and evaluating the costs associated with the production of company products, including raw materials, labor, and overhead costs,
  • conducting cost analysis on new product development projects to ensure cost competitiveness through Design to cost (DtC) activities,
  • developing and maintaining cost models to support decision making and cost optimization efforts, with a focus on improving their accuracy and effectiveness,
  • enhancing and maintaining the Product Cost Management (PCM) tool landscape to streamline and optimize cost analysis processes globally within the organization,
  • working with cross-functional teams to implement cost reduction initiatives and track progress using existing and new KPI's,
  • planning, coordinating and leading internal projects to improve the governance and performance of Cost and Value Engineering (CVE).

 

We wish you to have

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering or similar.,
  • between one to three years’ experience in cost analysis, value engineering or similar roles,
  • strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse data,
  • experience in implementing product cost-related systems and new KPI's,
  • ability to think creatively and identify innovative solutions to problems,
  • excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams,
  • proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools,
  • strongly commitment to quality in everything you do,
  • fluent English language skills.
