Purpose and Objective            

Landis+Gyr is looking for a Global IT Business Applications Engineer to join our Global IT team, responsible for the administration, maintenance, and integration of global business applications.

Key Performance Indicators

Availability SLA and User Satisfaction (ServiceNow Service Desk support queue).

Change Requests implemented on time (approved ServiceNow Change Requests).

Core Areas of Responsibility/Accountability

Define and implement the respective Application Governance Principles following the Landis+Gyr’s Governance and Compliance requirements, and the vendor recommendations.

Explore application consolidation opportunities.

Define and implement the required Application RACI, together with business users.

Define and implement policies, processes, and technical measures to ensure the sustained health of the managed Applications.

Perform the administration and maintenance tasks following the defined RACI and Governance Principles.

Manage access roles, permissions and monitoring of alerts.

Lead the upgrade planning and execution tasks.

Provide support to end users.

Work with the related internal teams and vendor support teams on the escalation and resolution of issues.

Plan and execute integration activities with other applications when required.

Analyze business requirements, consult on possible solutions and translate into technical design and execute accordingly.

Ensure appropriate setup – topics like SSO, Secured connection, disaster recovery processes and similar.

Work with the business stakeholders to further improve the related applications.

Core Technical/Skills Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in project or change management within IT environments.
• Good understanding of business processes and application governance.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and familiarity with technologies such as .NET, Java, PowerShell, CSS, and jQuery.
• Experience working with third-party service providers.
• Experience maintaining and developing IT applications in an international environment.
• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Advanced English and excellent communication skills.
• Proactive, solution-oriented, and detail-focused professional committed to continuous learning.
