We are looking for our new Portfolio Manager Smart Grid to join the Product Management Team within the Business Unit Electricity ICG, to manage the smart grid portfolio and grow the presence of Landis+Gyr within this area.

Our perfect candidate:

• Shows proven experience as product manager in a technical environment, preferred with focus on
  • Electrical design
  • Cellular communication technology
  • Hands-on experience with Linux
  • Experience in SCADA and substation technologies
• Shows experience as a device architect with strong customer focus
• Has strong knowledge of all aspects of marketing and of product portfolio management
• Can build on successful experiences in project management within agile and cross-cultural environments
• Knows how to build engaging and trustworthy relationships with customers, sales, and business development
• Ideally has gained several years of experience within the utility and/or energy management industry
• Has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Is fluent in English, any additional language is welcome

• Managing the portfolio including business case definition & ownership, as well as full portfolio lifecycle management leadership
• Developing product roadmaps and preparing project/product proposals involving all stakeholders
• Planning and executing market introductions together with the involvement of related departments
• Observing and analyzing the market with a view to identifying new customer requirements and opportunities to grow the business
• Ensuring the global competitiveness of the product portfolio through portfolio management, benchmarking, continuous cost improvements, innovations, and time to market
• Supporting business development activities through sales support, standardisation contributions as well as partner management

The expected key results:   

• Grow the financial and market share results of the smart grid portfolio
• Ensure the documented and aligned strategy and roadmap for the smart grid product portfolio
• Deliver the smart grid portfolio against roadmap and program on time and quality with the defined content and in alignment with other product management teams
• Ensure the competitiveness of the smart grid portfolio
