To support our Research & Development Team in Cham in building the next generation products, we are looking for a highly passionate Junior Firmware Engineer.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to contribute to the development of next-generation products that are essential to our Industrial, Commercial, and Grid metering portfolio. As part of a dynamic team of approximately 15 specialists, you will support the development, testing, and optimization of embedded software in an agile environment, utilizing modern tools and practices.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the development of high-quality, maintainable, and optimized firmware for our new products
• Reviewing and providing feedback on code changes made by team members
• Collaborating with various platform and product teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Contributing to the creation and improvement of firmware architecture
• Supporting the creation of tools to aid in testing, debugging, and programming tasks
• Keeping up to date with technology trends and contributing new ideas to enhance product development

Your profile and qualifications: 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field
• First practical experience in object-oriented, embedded software development (C++) using an RTOS
• Experience in Python and C# is a plus 
• Basic understanding of software design principles and patterns
• Interest in agile development practices and team collaboration
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and independent approach to work
• Motivated and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
• Familiarity with technical documentation and its development
• Fluent in English (both spoken and written); German is a plus
