Role Overview:

We're seeking an experienced and dedicated Global SAP GTS Consultant with expertise in SAP WM to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing SAP GTS (Global Trade Services) and SAP WM (Wearhouse Management) processes. This includes supporting the S/4 HANA update, IT Service Management (ITSM) support, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. The role will involve collaboration across global teams, external service providers, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative and effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

SAP GTS Development and Optimization:

• Design, customize and optimize IT solutions in the area of export control and global trade compliance.
• Implement and support SAP GTS solutions while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance and Trade Regulations:

• Ensure adherence to international trade regulations in IT projects and processes.
• Monitor and incorporate market trends and legal changes in the areas of foreign trade and export control.

System Conversions and Migrations:

• Support and execute system conversions, particularly migrations to SAP S/4 HANA and advanced SAP GTS solutions (E4H).

Process Standardization:

• Review, standardize, and optimize international trade processes and their integration into IT systems.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Partner with Export & Customs business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide guidance on solution options.
• Conduct workshops to analyze business requirements, develop tailored solutions, and prepare documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of Export and Customs processes with other business areas such as Sales, Logistics, Finance, or Intercompany.

ITSM Support:

• Provide IT Service Management (ITSM) support for SAP GTS and SAP WM modules, addressing incidents and ensuring system stability.

External Coordination:

• Manage and coordinate external service providers for the successful implementation of projects and solutions.

Continuous Improvement:

• Identify improvement opportunities within the GTS Edition for HANA and S/4HANA platform.
• Stay updated on SAP GTS innovations and features and provide expert advice on functionalities.

Project Delivery:

• Actively participate in project delivery, including gathering requirements, writing functional specifications, configuring the system, executing testing, and delivering training.

Profile:

Educational Background:

• A degree in Economics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.

Professional Experience:

• More than 5 years of relevant professional experience in SAP GTS, including hands-on delivery experience in end-to-end implementation projects.
• Extensive experience in SAP GTS implementation and application, with in-depth knowledge of export control.
• Proven expertise in SAP WM processes and ITSM support frameworks.
• Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA systems and migration strategies.

Regulatory Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of international export regulations and their technical implementation in SAP systems.
• Expertise in export modules, preference calculation, and export control compliance within SAP GTS.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent analytical skills to assess complex processes and translate them into practical solutions.
• Strong project management abilities, including planning, execution, and documentation.
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills (additional languages are a plus especially German).
• Team-oriented mindset with a high degree of responsibility and independence.

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4 HANA, ITSM tools, and global trade compliance functionalities.
