Primary Statement of Duties:

  • Consult with clients to scope, architect, document, implement and deliver highly complex integrated solutions to accomplish client business goals.
  • Prepare for and lead technical workshops to gather requirements and set technical expectations with clients as required.
  • Complete detailed data mappings between Landis+Gyr software and client software.
  • Assess data quality and articulate to clients in regard to data quality issues identified.
  • Ensure architectural designs and as-built solutions are accurately documented and that the appropriate knowledge transfer is conducted for on-going product support.
  • Prepare functional, technical, and interface specifications.
  • Install and configure application and database software.
  • Lead system test planning and execution; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues as encountered.
  • Ensure issues are properly documented and prioritized; proactively follow through to ensure issues are addressed in accordance with prioritization.
  • Support client’s user acceptance testing activities. Ensure that software integration meet business requirements and client goals.
  • Mentor client staff on the operation of software.
  • Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Actively participate in the evolution of integration best practices and processes within Landis+Gyr.
  • Lead creation of standard operating procedures and solutions for software integration that are effective and repeatable.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Power Systems Engineering
  • Require 7 years minimum experience with integration of enterprise systems, with +5 years focus on leading the design of integration architecture.
  • Public cloud experience desired, with Google Cloud Platform certification a plus.
  • NoSQL database experience desired, with MongoDB experience a plus.
  • Highly preferred candidates who have worked in the electric utility industry and who have knowledge of common enterprise systems used by utilities.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Understanding of how electric utilities operate, various back end IT systems (MDM, AMI, OMS, GIS, DMS, SCADA, CIS, DRMS) that they use, the information stored in these systems, and overall functionality and operation.
  • Understanding of electrical system asset modeling and power flow analysis.
  • Strong understanding of multiple data formats and protocols, including file geodatabse, webservices, XML-based protocols, CIM-based formats and protocols (IEC 61970/61968, IEC 61850), MultiSpeak based set of data formats and protocols.
  • Ability to work with Python code and configure software interfaces written in Python.
  • Ability to work with Linux/Unix operating systems, crontab, and shell scripting.
  • Ability to provide extensive consulting services to clients including gathering customer requirements and aligning with technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated expertise with software and interface configuration management.
  • Demonstrated advanced level in troubleshooting root cause and proposing resolutions.
  • Strong, professional verbal and written skills including ability to lead client presentations.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.

Pay is in the range of $106,152 - $169,024 per year.  The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
