Solutions Architect
Alpharetta, GA
Responsibilities: Oversee the architecture, security, design, and testing of the integrations and interoperability of software programs, vendor applications, and third-party solutions. Design complex application solutions with analysts, designers, and system owners of vendor application systems within public and private cloud infrastructure. Work with client requirements and assess how Landis+Gyr's solutions fit these requirements. Consult with customers to scope, design, document, implement, and deliver end-to-end solutions using Landis+Gyr’s products and resolve technical issues that arise in solutions designs. Architect new solutions and deliver new services to benefit Landis+Gyr’s Gridstream Solution. Support the integration testing phase of software and applications under development to identify and remedy potential problem areas. Build relationships with vendors of utility applications deployed in the Smart Grid Energy Services sector to learn about and provide feedback on technical integration capabilities. Ensure best practices and technical due diligence with components used as part of Landis+Gyr’s products, solutions, and services.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of experience with wireless technologies. Experience must include five (5) years each of the following: utility domain experience; relational database experience; design and implement advanced security solutions for customer deployments aligning industry standards for security. Experience may be gained concurrently. Domestic travel to unanticipated client sites up to 50%.
