Purpose and Objective:
The QEHS Manager, Americas is accountable for Quality, Environment, Health & Safety and Business Continuity processes and activities within the Americas organization, including, but not limited to the following:
- Implementation and maintenance of the Global and/or Regional IMS policies, plans, procedures and risk assessments.
- Development of Regional processes and supporting the development of Global processes.
- Ensuring compliance with legal and other requirements, including country and local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
- Maps processes using the flow charting software (iGrafx) and manages and facilitates the deployment of the Global Process House
- Continual focus on prevention of injuries, accidents and incidents to decrease risk.
- Ensuring implementation of preventive actions, corrective actions and continual improvements.
- Ensuring QEHS/BC training programs within the region are effectively implemented and maintained.
- Support implementation of required environmental reporting and ESG-related programs.
- Support commercial operations in satisfying potential customers’ Requests for Quote / Requests for Proposal.
- Reports findings and assists, tracks actions related to the implementation of the corrective measures.
- Reports the relevant QEHS KPIs and tracks improvement actions across the mentioned organisation
- Performs presentations and trainings for personnel on QEHS, Process House and GDMS topics
- Support all Internal IMS Audit and External ISO Audit processes for the region.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Global and Regional IMS / QEHS process-related activities and initiatives are implemented and maintained across the region.
- Locations have adequate support to meet Global and Regional IMS Performance objectives, or have an improvement plan in place.
- Regional training is prepared and delivered as required.
- Regional activities are effective in preventing reoccurences of injuries and incidents.
- Internal and External IMS audits are completed as required and non conformances found during audits are managed effectively.
- Global Multi-Site ISO Certifications are maintained with limited Minor Nonconformances.
Core Areas of Responsibility/ Accountability:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of the Global and Regional IMS and QEHS/BC processes across local and regional functions, as needed. Ensure that regional resources provide adequate support.
- Ensure that any new locations effectively implement the appropriate QEHS/BC processes.
- Responsible for ensuring that regional and global training is implemented and maintained per requirements, including regional & local QEHS onboarding activities and training assignments.
- Ensure that regional and local QEHS/IMS Facilitators are adequately trained.
- Ensure compliance to requirements for reporting of injuries, accidents and incidents.
- Support implementation of regional / location programs to satisfy insurance requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring the region’s effective use of the Global and Regional systems – Process Mapping, Document Control, Sharepoint sites, Internal Audit system and others as needed
- Support regional locations as needed in use of IMS software applications, including but not limited to Sharepoint, Power BI, the Global Process House, Document Control System in Sharepoint, the Global Audit Tool, and assist with Global administrative activities when needed.
- Responsible for ensuring that Internal IMS Audits and External ISO Audits are conducted as assigned for the region.
Required Experience:
- Minimum Years of Experience: 10 years QEHS
- Able to work autonomously, communicate across the organization
- Ability to co-ordinate activities with multiple stakeholders across a multi-functional environments and cultures
- Must work well in a global ‘virtual’ team environment, must collaborate effectively with Global & Regional IMS groups
- Process maps and flow charts for QEHS systems, or experience in development of QEHS procedures and processes
- Experience in auditing ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, ISO 22301 (Business Continuity), ISO/IEC 17025 (Laboratory accreditation), ISO 27001 (Info Sec), and/or VDA (process audit)
- Experience of working within EHS or Quality Management or Continuous Improvement function
- Mangerial experience with an Integrated Management System for QEHS and/or Business Continuity processes
- Travel as is appropriate for support of local and regional functions.
Educational / Professional or Vocational Qualifications:
Preferred, not required
- Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor.
- Degree in engineering, safety, environmental science or other related fields like Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science or Chemistry
Required
- Minimum 10 years EHS experience
- Certified ISO and / or VDA auditor and / or certified business process management professional
- Six Sigma Green Belt

Pay is in the range of $81,400 - $126,800 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
