General Summary:

This role is a great fit for someone interested in working for a technology company and developing business skills in project management, project governance, and process improvement.

 

The PMO Analyst works in the Project Management Office (PMO) to manage and improve customer-facing project management processes and systems. Specifically, the PMO Analyst provides project governance, manages configuration of project systems, develops KPI reporting, leads continual improvement projects, creates and modifies project process documentation, and develops services proposal content.  

 

Expected Travel: Up to 10%

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

•           Project Governance: Ensures all projects are following project management standards by leading handoffs from contracting to delivery, leading gate review meetings, conducting regular project reviews, and providing feedback to project resources and leadership on conformance.

•           Process Management:  Analyzes and reports project portfolio performance against key metrics; Reviews and updates key process documents including forms, work instructions, procedures, and playbooks, that guide how projects are executed.

•           System and Report Management: Manages configuration and report development in Daptiv portfolio management software and Power BI; Manages PMO SharePoint site; Develops executive-facing presentations for key stakeholders on portfolio performance.

•           Process Improvement: Leads continual improvement projects that simplify how projects are executed or how the PMO works with other organizations in the company.

•           Direct Project Support: Provides follow-up on and drives resolution of project and product issues; advises on project workspace elements including:  Risk register, project schedule, status updates, resource allocations, change register                                         

•           Proposal Support: Writes proposal content including schedules, statements of work, and services descriptions; Helps develop resource / staffing models for complex projects; Modifies / Maintains Excel-based proposal services buildup model.                                                                                                                            

•           Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.

•           Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

•           Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.

•           Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.

 

 

Education and Experience:

Required Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor’s degree
Required Minimum Years of Experience: 0 to 5.

 

Desired Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field. 
  • Exposure to project management, process optimization, problem solving, facilitation, and internal/external consulting desired. 
  • Required/Desired Certifications: Certified Associate in Project management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or Six Sigma certification a big plus.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Methodical problem solver who uses data effectively to draw conclusions.
  • Great communicator who has a strong command of written and verbal English, and the ability to develop and deliver logical, clear presentations; can act as a bridge between highly technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Confident, quick study who is comfortable working with cross-functional groups outside of area of expertise (project management, product management, finance, engineering, commercial operations, sales) 
  • Has strong organization and project planning skills.
  • Has command of application software tools including presentation, spreadsheet, word processing, and project management applications (Microsoft applications)

Power BI experience is a plus

Pay is in the range of $67,100 - $100,287 per year.  The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus.  The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
