Landis+Gyr is seeking a Summer Intern starting in May 2025 through the beginning of August 2025 working fulltime hours on-site Monday through Friday at our Alpharetta, GA office.

This is a paid position but we don't offer a housing stipend or relocation assistance so local candidates are preferred.

Applicants should be undergraduate level students who by May will have completed their Freshman, Sophomore or Junior year towards their Bachelors degree.  Masters level students will not be considered.

Project Overview/Job Description

We are a dynamic and innovative company dedicated to delivering top-notch energy management solutions to our clients. Our team is passionate about technology, creativity, and excellence. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager Intern to join our team.

The candidate will have access to all the tools and materials to manage projects. They will work with seasoned project managers, supporting them in the execution of their projects including to taking over part of projects or project phases.

Additionally, they will collaborate with technical experts to coordinate activities across teams, identify risks, assess and mitigate them. Candidates will have the opportunity to present reports to executives.

The experience is meant to prepare candidates for a career in project management of end-to-end technical projects in an R&D environment.  This internship is a great opportunity to develop the following skills and abilities:

Student Objectives/Responsibilities:

• Work alongside and under the guidance of Senior Project Managers in the day-to-day delivery of complex software projects in the IoT space.
• Work as a productive member of the project management team, completing assigned tasks under the direction of Senior Project Managers.
• Understanding the L+G project management process.
• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
• Monitor project progress and report on internal milestones and deliverables. Including:
  • Creating queries and Dashboards in Azure DevOps and Power BI.
  • Tracking project data that flows into our overall performance reports.
  • Participate in team meetings and collect updates on project status.
• Help manage project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and reports. Using PlanView and Microsoft Office tools.
• Reviewing work for accuracy and checking against requirements/feedback.
• Maintenance of key knowledge in online repositories using SharePoint.
• Consistently demonstrating respect for others’ roles and contributions, allowing others to play their positions effectively

Education/Experience  

A student working towards their Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering / Software Engineering / Management Information Systems / Operations / Quality.
