This position will be the overall owner of a Program within the GTO PMO. This position requires results focused leadership to ensure projects are planned, executed and launched on time, within budget, and with quality.   Builds relationships with all departments using project management support and ensure they are getting quality service. Manages the relationships with Infrastructure teams, Solution Architects, Operations leaders, and within R&D to ensure successful project completion.

 

  • Provide guidance and direction to teams supporting the program.
  • Ensures the PMO operates in a manner consistent with the Global strategy.        
  • Oversee Resource Management for the program to create and maintain a proactive view resource needs and availability.
  • Provide status reports showing, KPI's, project status, resource plan outlooks, etc. to Executive Management on a regular cadence.   
  • Integrate PMI and CMMI practices into the project teams establishing measurement systems for ensuring this is constantly improving.             
  • Lead and guide project managers, work stream leads as necessary.          

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Experience employing major project management methodologies including Agile.            
  • A deep understanding of Application deployment / solution deployment projects
  • Understand and employ project estimation and revenue methods and variance reporting techniques.
  • Excellent understanding of project management scheduling SW tools (Microsoft project and/ or PSNext).
  • Extensive experience with Hardware configuration management & change control methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership qualities and the ability to make decisions without perfect information.
  • Ability to positively influence others without direct authority in efforts to move assigned projects forward.
  • Excellent change management skills. Ability to accept change and respond to setbacks with minimal disruptions.
  • Ability to work efficiently within a matrix management organization.
  • Provide mentorship and professional development to resources.
  • Willingness to travel about 25% of the time.
  • Operational competency with MS Office Suite.
  • Cloud experience is a plus.

 

Required Experience:

 

  • BS, MS in Engineering or Information Systems Management.
  • 10 years PMO management experience.
  • 15+ years Project Management experience.
  • Certified Project Management Professional, Six Sigma, CMMI.
  • Experience developing and employing project management artifact standards and best practices (SOW, Task Estimation Plan, Project Proposal, Project Plan, Budget/Variance Report, Status Report, Test Plan, etc.).
