Overall Objective:

The SQE is the interface to EMS/JDM/ODM partners of EMEA in APAC post NPI phase and applies world class quality tools and techniques also for the sub-suppliers regarding their APQP activities with the validated supply base, in the development of quality activities to obtain reliable products, on-time, to the required quality standards and manufactured with capable processes post M70. Manage any non-conformance and non-compliance to prevent further recurrence.



Supplier Audit Rating, Supplier Delivery Quality Performance, Root Cause Analysis and closure, APQP delivery and performance, Concession analysis and closure.




Supplier Development and Management

  • Manage the suppliers to deliver all the APQP requirements
  • Manage the supplier performance and input the required performance data into the applicable performance monitoring databases
  • Create together with procurement and logistics periodically the supplier evaluations and risk-assessments.
  • Develop and manage supplier improvement plans should their performance not achieve the necessary quality performance targets
  • Perform supplier audits to qualify and verify the capability of suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements, in collaboration with L+G Procurement
  • Create visit reports and KPIs to monitor the supplier achievement against commitments
  • Participate in the supplier QBRs (Quarterly Business Review).
  • Apply the use of world class quality tools and techniques to achieve success in the core actions and responsibilities

Quality assurance for volume production

  • Work closely with internal NPI stakeholders to influence product and process designs based on past experience
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to monitor the supplied part performance in the factory and/or in the field and manage the root cause analysis and improvement activities with the suppliers when required.
  • Manage the suppliers to ensure timely delivery of updated PPAPs for all supplied parts
  • Take the leadership and keep a close interaction with the supplier in case of acute and severe quality issues or SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Reports).Perform Root Cause Analysis of supplier caused defects and ensure the 8D approach is used to establish the correct root causes(s) and that corrective and preventative actions are implemented in a timely manner
  • Work closely together with procurement and incoming goods inspection to run the daily business.
  • Countersign concessions authorising the use of parts without risk, as required.


  • Quality, Engineering, Auditing, Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience in a quality related role within a manufacturing company, with strong problem solving and supplier management skills.
  • Experience of working in supplier management, supplier development or supplier problem solving.
  • Experience of leading improvement activities and quality projects.
  • Advanced English communication skills (oral and written). Working with customer and supplier contacts in person at their premises and via web.
  • Communication skills, interpersonal skills with an understanding of supplier relationship management.
  • Flexibility, willingness to travel: High quality focus and good understanding of economic and PLM processes
  • Self-motivated and organized
  • Ability to evaluate problems and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to analyze data and communicate performance and KPIs as well as potential opportunities for improvement
  • Good technical & administrative skills
