Sr Project Manager

As a core member of the Global Software Team, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of leading large and midsized projects and is accountable for flawless execution of projects to meet the contracted equipment, technical and services requirements. This includes management of project schedule, technical resources, risks & issues, financial performance, communications, and internal & customer status reporting.
Candidates must have a thorough understanding of all stages of the development life cycle,  have demonstratable experience executing multiple complex projects within a stage gate & agile methodology  to ensure that all deliverables are completed and approved by project stakeholders. The Project Manager will be working with cross functional teams to ensure products are launched on time and within budget.  

 

Core area of responsibility
•    Plan, execute, control, and coordinate the activities of a project core team to produce deliverables agreed upon with executive and/or functional management
•    Manage the project(s) and execute activities around the boundaries of scope, schedule, risks, and cost
•    Utilize the PMO's New Product Introduction (NPI) procedures and processes to develop new products and/or services for L+G
•    Report project status to the PMO and other stakeholders
•    Work within a stage gate methodology 
•    Manage external, internal and capital project costs
•    Scrum management and metric analysis for Agile projects
•    Represent Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers
•    Support and adhere to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy
•    Perform other duties as assigned or required

•    Mastery skills in project management methodology 
•    Must be fully knowledgeable in all areas of project life cycle methodology and associated tools
•    Mastery skills in leading large complex project and program initiatives (incorporate change integration concepts/methods (from business case to continuous improvement)
•    Mature capabilities of managing under crisis conditions
•    Proven track record of execution excellence
•    Experience/knowledge is based on proven track record of managing large complex initiatives and various system methodologies required for these associated projects
•    Ability to work and team effectively with clients and other management personnel across geographies

Educational / professional qualification
•    Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant field (i.e. Business, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
•    Track record of working in global organizations with more than 15 years of work experience in the utility, telecommunication, technology industry, Platforms and Project Management
•    Specialization in complex multi-million dollar programs and with advanced technologies
•    PMP Certified or on track to get within the next year
•    Strong working knowledge of stage gate & agile methodology
•    10 + year project management experience. 

 

Position may require some travel to vendor sites as well as between Landis+Gyr locations to meet with project teams, external partners and/or business customers.
