Sr. Project Manager

The Senior Manager, Project Management leads the customer-facing Deployment team responsible for customer deployment projects and programs.  This team consists of Project and Program managers who deploy Landis+Gyr solutions in the Gridstream Portofolio.  This team participates both onsite and remote with deployment projects and is responsible for the over-arching management of their projects including scope, resources, schedule, and budget.  This role is responsible for all aspects of this team including planning, recruiting, mentoring and performance management, as well as the overall success of the deployment projects.  The role will ensure the team follows structured and repeatable deployment processes using available tools to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction.

 

Primary Statement of Duties:

 

  • Manages staff in the planning, execution, and implementations of Landis+Gyr solutions for our Customers.

  • Coaches and mentors staff to deploy Landis+Gyr solutions to enable growth
  • Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep senior management informed of the staff's delivery proficiency.
  • Works with Team to develop project plans and consistent methodology for deployment
  • Ensures business support for proposed solution and NPI programs meet Customer commitments
  • Ensures deployed solution meets system performance obligations and service levels to ensure customer acceptance test signoff.
  • Ensures technical issues are driven to resolution and identified technical issues and risks are mitigated or avoided in future projects.
  • Works closely with the Project Management Organization to drive overall customer satisfaction
  • Leads complex troubleshooting of technical issues identified by project teams or customers.
  • Ensures technical issues are broadly evaluated across the project portfolio and prioritized for resolution
  • Escalates technical issues to Engineering resources when required.
  • Promotes use of tools, process, and documentation to drive team efficiencies and flawless execution.
  • Ensures customer requirements are met and consistent delivery of best of class service to our customer base.
  • Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers.
  • Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

 

Education and Experience:

 

Demonstrated ability to lead team of diverse employees, provide significant coaching, mentoring and performance management.

Ability to work with others, across the matrixed organization, in a team environment.

Accustomed to working in an environment driven by high standards for service and system delivery

Ability to plan and maintain schedules and perform resource management to balance workload with resource availability.

Ability to manage technical issues and drive issues to resolution.           

Uses leadership skills to resolve a wide range of issues in creative and practical ways to satisfy the customer needs

Excellent customer service and customer relationship management skills

Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solving problems and obtaining solutions

       

Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

  • Strong knowledge of Utility operations
  • PMP certification desired.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% to 75% or as needed, including some international travel
