Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician shall maintain the installations of the plant in good confitions physical and functional, install, perform routine maintenance corrective and preventive, repair of machinery and equipment consistent with L+G policies and procedures and regulations. Duties may involve (but not limited to) maintain electrical and/or mechanical equipment, welding and fabrication, pipe fitting, detection of electrical or mechanical failures in tool or equipment, aligning and balancing new equipment, repair to building structure, floors, or stairs. Follows safety rules and regulations as established by L+G.

In this role, the Facilities Technician will:

  • Make preventive and non programmed maintenance in air confitioning, pneumatic, electric and gas of the plant in order to secure their good position operation
  • Perform timely repair, routine maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in the system used during regular operations at the plant
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Inspect equipment, motors, belts, and other operating devices. Check fluid levels, clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears,replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions following work order established.
  • Recognize, diagnostic electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical problems and determine corrective action needed. Check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
  • Perform electrical 110/220/480 volts, mechanicals, pneumatics and hydraulics installations.
  • General knowledge of the SFCI, alarm system, diagnostics and tests. 
  • To work according of the I.M.S. including ISO 9K, 45K, 14K, 27K, and 22301

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of industrial electronics, pneumatics and hidrahulics, drive forklift, computer
  • 50% English (preferred)

Required Experience:

  • Technical degree / electromechanic, industrial, hidraulic, neumatic or electronic engineer and/or position experience
  • 3 years in similar position
