IT Application Consultant (with specifics around O365/SharePoint)

The  Office 365 (O365) / SharePoint Developer is  responsible for developing and supporting applications, forms, sites, and workflows based in the Office365 and  all aspects of the SharePoint environment and contributing member to the Global Collaboration Application team.


Your future responsibilities:

O365 / SharePoint application Design & Development:

  • Analyze, develop and deliver technical services and solutions through Office 365.
  • Design, develop, validate and troubleshoot high performance/ high-visibility web-based applications using SharePoint/SharePoint Online/PowerApps.
  • Ensure layout and branding is streamlined and functional
  • Ensure user experience to be fast (performance) and easy (navigation, content)
  • Keep up to date with latest technology development and incorporate where suited
  • Create, maintain and enforce appropriate levels of governance
  • Site collection administration such as permissions management, configuring web pages, configuring web parts, lists, views, libraries, Office client integration
  • Manage site columns, content types, meta data
  • Manage SharePoint framework and enterprise-wide search functionality
  • Experience in analyzing business requirements and consult on possible solutions; translate into technical design and execute are beneficial


O365 / SharePoint Business Solutions:

  • Business Analysis – translating requirements in technical solutions
  • Research the technology on an ongoing basis to determine possible improvements
  • Investigate business process improvement solutions such as eg:
    • Workflows, Records Management, Document Management, Reporting, Integration with other business applications


Our expectations:

  • 3+ years experience as O365 Developer within an international environment within Azure and  5+ years preferred experience with SharePoint: Working knowledge and experience with Office 365 applications
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant science e.g. Computer Science, industry certifications and/or equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proven track record in developing and maintaining O365 apps
  • Experience with content management systems and collaboration concepts
  • Experience in business engagement gathering objectives, analysing requirements and translating into technical design
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with both external parties and people within the business
  • Business Use of English
  • Flexibility and customer-oriented personality, good communication skills capability to communicate with users globally
  • Advanced level of interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully collaborate with team members
  • Ability to solve urgent matters and work under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines
  • Open-minded friendly approach, active attitude in fast changing environment, respect for diversity
