Commercial Finance Analyst

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced analyst to join our commercial finance team and support our sales opportunities from financial projecting perspective.


In this role, you will primarily:

  • Prepare financial business cases to support customer bids and tenders in the EMEA region;
  • Advise bid team on all financial impacts of proposed pricing;
  • Advise on US GAAP ASC606 revenue recognition impacts of bid;
  • Improve constantly the business case processes and financial model;


More specifically:

  • Support sales team in bid phase and prepare business cases for bid submission across the EMEA region, with focus on bids above 4m€;
  • Ensure revenue reporting is compliant with US GAAP revenue recognition standards;
  • Advise bid team on all financial impacts of proposed pricing; Support approval process with Management;
  • Provide guidance and model on indexation of tenders and treatment of future cost increases;
  • Provide guidance and financial model to Business unit and local finance teams on business cases for smaller opportunities (below 4m€).
  • Support commercial finance team need in other tasks as assigned


Key Performance Indicatiors:

  • Business targets: Revenue, margin and cashflow;
  • Function targets: Alignment of business cases to bids and tenders in a timely, accurate and reliable manner;
  • Good understanding of EMEA business processes;
  • Ownership and responsibility for agreed tasks


A successful candidate will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance roles;
  • Knowledge of accounting & controlling principles; Knowledge of Contract Accounting Standards (AC606) preferred;
  • University degree preferably majoring in finance/accounting;
  • Experience of preparation of business cases for projects preferred;
  • Excellent analytical and MS Excel skills;
  • Highly process-oriented and customer-focused;
  • Self-starter, highly flexible, able to work under pressure and to tight timescales
  • Business Use of English, written and spoken
  • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse of advantage
