This role is part of Landis+Gyr’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) business, which is expected to become an independent company under new ownership by mid-2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals. Role Overview

The Business Intelligence Analysis & Systems Manager oversees BI reporting design and overall vision @ Landis+Gyr. Team lead of the Business Intelligence team which is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, continuous improvement and ongoing management of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and their related systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Installing governance rolling out roles and responsibilities on reports
    • introduction of Business Domain owner and Technical Domain owner
    • report harmonization and standardization (e.g. only one sales report format and 1 per country)
    • reduction of shadow reporting and driving business continuity (risk reduction of single person failure)
    • assure best practices in the setup (e.g. exported Excel sheets aren’t a valid source and addressing general control non-compliance risks)
  • Leading the design and support of enterprise-wide business intelligence applications and architecture.
    (which includes working with global business and IT senior management to understand and prioritize BI related requirements to enhance business decision making capabilities of the BI solution.)
  • Continuous improvement of enterprise business intelligence tools (streamlining the landscape, performance) with strong focus on value add
  • Ensuring availability of training and coaching material and methods to enable users to understand and use L+G’s BI tools in a most effective and efficient way.
  • Develop data/information quality metrics.
  • Research new technology and develop business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions.

 

Profile

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science/Engineering or a related field.
  • Miimum 5 years of experience in related field
  • Extensive experience in data warehouse analysis and design, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling.
  • Hands-on experience with large-scale data architecture, relational databases, SQL scripting, JSON, PowerShell, and modeling tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, O365, Power BI, SAP BW and SAP ERP (incl. its table structures)
  • Good understanding of data privacy requirements, cyber security best practices, and change control frameworks
  • Project management and practical change management experience with BI projects
  • Able to translate to and from technology language and business language to analyze user requirements and build front-end BI applications
