Sr Hardware Technician

Participates in managing departmental budget and lab

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates leadership and initiative and is self-motivated.
  • Identify areas for potential process or test improvements.
  • Stay aware of product/process trends.
  • Has a good understanding of the business and priorities.
  • Represent Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers.
  • Support and adhere to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

 

Education and Experience
Associate degree in EET or equivalent experience. 
5+ years’ experience

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Mastery of the technical skills in the RF and digital area of responsibility.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a technician with above average overall performance.
  • Ability to operate complex testing equipment.
  • Ability to interpret test data.
  • Ability to follow schematics and prints.
  • Ability to solder effectively with various levels of surface mount components (J-STD-001 minimum and ESD certified).
  • Required to have prior experience in supporting ANSI/UL/FCC testing and RF experience.
  • LabVIEW software experience would be a plus.
  • Personal Computer knowledge
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Keyboard/typing skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
