Technical Lead, Software Development (.Net Core)

About the Role

The .NET Tech Lead will be responsible for leading the design, development, deployment, and support of scalable software solutions built on Microsoft technologies. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in .NET, C#, ASP.NET, microservices, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices, along with the ability to guide developers, drive engineering standards, and collaborate across globally distributed teams.

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise applications using .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, and microservices architecture.
  • Provide technical leadership to the development team, including design guidance, code reviews, best practices, and technical mentoring.
  • Drive solution architecture and development standards for scalable, secure, and high-performance applications.
  • Work closely with product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to ensure successful delivery of software solutions.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of APIs, web services, and distributed microservices-based systems.
  • Support development across Windows and Linux environments; experience with Linux platforms such as Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu is desirable.
  • Contribute to cloud-native application development on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with GCP experience preferred.
  • Work with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Support and guide CI/CD implementation and release automation using tools such as GitLab, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD.
  • Ensure strong engineering discipline through unit testing, automated testing frameworks, code quality checks, and secure development practices.
  • Collaborate with teams on application maintenance, bug fixing, documentation, and ongoing product enhancements.
  • Oversee the quality and completeness of technical deliverables, including development, testing, deployment readiness, and production support.
  • Participate in Agile delivery models such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Ensure application server and database maintenance requirements are well understood and addressed as part of solution delivery.

 

Desired Skills/Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
  • Experience working with .NET Core 3.1 / 5; exposure to .NET 8 is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design principles.
  • Good experience in building and supporting APIs, web services, and microservices.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQLOracle, or other enterprise RDBMS platforms.
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • Experience with Kafka or other enterprise messaging / event-streaming platforms.
  • Experience working with API gateways is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of automated testingunit testing, and software quality engineering practices.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitLab, GitLab CI, and ArgoCD.
  • Experience working in distributed systems and modern application delivery environments.

 

Leadership Expectations

  • Lead by example as a hands-on technical leader.
  • Mentor and guide developers on architecture, coding standards, troubleshooting, and engineering best practices.
  • Drive technical discussions and support decision-making on frameworks, platforms, tools, and implementation approaches.
  • Coordinate effectively across engineering, QA, DevOps, and product management teams.
  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities early in the delivery lifecycle.
  • Promote continuous improvement in development practices, release quality, and operational stability.

 

Preferred Profile

  • Candidate with a strong mix of hands-on developmenttechnical leadership, and cloud/DevOps exposure.
  • Prior experience leading teams delivering microservices-based enterprise applications in a fast-paced Agile environment.
  • Experience driving engineering quality and cross-functional collaboration.
