We're looking for an experienced Software Architect to join our high-profile team. You will be responsible for architecture, design and development of cutting-edge cloud native products and solutions! This is a challenging and exciting position where you will be hands-on working on Analytics product that is responsible for providing advanced edge to enterprise analytics solution capabilities for L+G Edge intelligence solution portfolio.
Working experience in Cloud-native Software development and agile are needed.
Handles R&D software architecture and completes solutions projects as part of a cross-functional team. Collaborate with team members and other R&D teams in design, development, and validation of complete Smart Grid solutions.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks:
- Hands-on experience in cloud native development using Google Cloud Platform native services not limited to GKE, Cloud Pub sub, Cloud Dataflow
- Experience in Python programming language is required
- Experience in container, orchestration and service mesh implementations utilizing Docker, Kubernetes and Istio is required
- Experience in design and implementation of AI/ML pipelines using Vertex AI is desired
- Experience using UML modeling and diagramming tools like Enterprise Architect, MS Visio, Draw.io
- Exposure to secure communications, standards and best practices
- Experience using Messaging using SOA using REST, Cloud Pub sub, RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka
- Experience in data engineering pipeline development using Apache Airflow or Cloud Composer
- Familiarity with secrets management and general security best practices for cloud native development
- Certifications around Google Cloud as Architect, Data and ML engineer is preferred
- Experience in Database development using Postgres, Google BigQuery is required
- Experience in User Interface Development using Angular or Looker
- Tools: Gitlab, VS Code, Jfrog, Artifactory, Helm, GKE, ArgoCD, Vault, Rancher, Docker
- Good written and oral communication/presentation skills
- Out of the box thinking and creative problem-solving skills is desired
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in requirements
- Passion to learn continuously and show applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under general direction, plan and perform engineering duties for part of a major project or for projects of moderate complexity.
- Collaborate with peer Architects, Product Owners and Product Management, Firmware and other Technical Development and Non-technical stakeholders in the Agile Product Development Processes
- Create and improve software using design patterns, refactoring and modern development best practices
- Create database scripts for multiple database engines not limited Postgres, BigQuery
- Participating in Project Planning and Estimation
- Provide detailed & accurate estimates for code development efforts.
- Prepare the architectural documents, artifacts and solution blueprints.
- Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with cross functional team members.
- Provides input into continually improving quality processes and procedures.
- Acts as technical design authority in areas of specialty on assigned projects.
- Execute architectural design spikes and development of architecturally significant code
- Contribute to component and/or solution design, development, documentation, and validation.
- Work on agile development teams, collaborating with multiple cross-discipline architecture teams to develop hardware and software components as part of L+G Smart Grid solutions.
- Mentor development teams around sound design and coding patterns and practices
- Contribute to area-specific continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to innovative technology and solutions development and/or validation.
- Conduct code, design and architectural reviews

Education & Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field and 7-10 years of development experience
- Cloud Architecture and/or development certifications and hands-on experience with GCP/AWS/Azure is required
