About The Job 

Landis+Gyr’s Global Technology Office is looking for a EV & Grid Flexibility Management Application Engineer / Program Manager role. In this role you will be responsible for helping to execute Landis+Gyr’s strategy for EV and Grid Flexibility Management  solutions. Electric Vehicles are disrupting the grid infrastructure and the transportation sector; and therefore the EV Charging and Grid Flexibility Management product portfolio is a key growth area for Landis+Gyr. This role will be instrumental in leading the product growth and commercialization in India and globally.

This role requires to work with product management / product development team on solution development. The Application Engineer (AE) / Program Manager will also act as a link between Landis+Gyr and our customers.  Application Engineer (AE) / Program Manager will foster relationships with customers/end-users to understand the challenges in their engineering process and technology gaps.  Application Engineer (AE) / Program Manager will collaborate with Landis+Gyr team spanning Sales, Marketing, and Development to demonstrate the benefits of Landis+Gyr’s EV and Grid Flexibility solutions in the customer’s process of designing, developing, and deploying a solution.  Application Engineer (AE) / Program Manager have the opportunity to develop technical expertise in multiple Landis+Gyr products, expand their industry knowledge, work on cross functional teams, and advance into leadership roles throughout Landis+Gyr. 

Experience Range - 4 years post Phd or 7 to 10 years in Development of analytical models

 Minimum Qualifications

• A Master's or PhD degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer engineering and 2-6 years of professional work experience in any of the following domains Utility, Electric Vehicles, Industrial Automation, Energy Management is required.

• Experience with developing analytics and optimization models with tools such as MATLAB, Python, R etc

• Exposure to working with customers on customer requirements and implementing solutions

Additional Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cloud technologies and architectures

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for customer and internal company meetings.

Pluses

• Experience with EV Charging technology

• Experience with Google Cloud

• Experience analyzing and visualizing large, complex data sets

• Experience with statistics and/or numerical optimization

• Experience developing software applications

• Experience with control software and continuous integration

• Experience developing and delivering technical presentations

• Experience working with customers or counterparts outside your organization
