Job Summary
Purpose and Objective
The Quality, Environment and Health & Safety Facilitator facilitates and supports Landis+Gyr’s Global Integrated Management System (IMS), ISO Certifications and QEHS processes for local, regional and global functions, as needed.
Activities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Development, implementation and maintenance of the Global IMS policies, plans, procedures and risk assessments.
- Compliance with legal and other requirements, including country and local safety and environmental laws and regulations.
- Continual focus on prevention of injuries, accidents and incidents to decrease risk.
- Iimplementation of preventive actions, corrective actions and continual improvements.
- Monitoring, measuring and tracking of IMS Objectives and Global IMS Performance metrics.
- Conducting training and presentations, in person and remote, for IMS/QEHS topics, the Process House, GDMS and Internal Audits.
- Use and maintenance of the Global Process House and process maps using the mapping software iGrafx.
- Use and maintenance of the Global Document Management System (GDMS) in Sharepoint.
- Conducting Internal Audits using ISO- or VDA-based audit techniques, support use of the Global Internal Audit Tool, Highbond, including training of others as needed.
- Facilitate, prepare for, and participates in External ISO and other Audits.
Key Performance Indicators
- Global IMS / QEHS process-related activities and initiatives are completed as assigned, on time.
- Assigned locations have adequate support to meet Global IMS Performance objectives, or have an improvement plan in place.
- Training is prepared and delivered as required, on time.
- Actively engages in the identification and implementation of effective preventive actions, corrective actions and continual improvements.
- Internal and External IMS audits are performed as assigned, on time. Non conformances found during audits have a root cause identified, and corrective actions are implemented on time.
- Global Multi-Site ISO Certifications are maintained with limited Minor Nonconformances.
Core Areas of Responsibility/ Accountability
- Responsible for facilitation and support of the Global IMS and QEHS processes for the assigned location.
- Responsible for maintaining local training materials for delivery via local methods, the Global online learning application, and via a classroom setting.
- Responsible for mapping processes in the Process House using iGrafx and outlining policies, procedures, and documents in GDMS.
- Support others as needed in use of IMS software applications, including but not limited to SharePoint, the Global Process House using iGrafx, the Global Document Management System in SharePoint, the Global Audit Tool, and assist with administrative activities when needed.
- Responsible for conducting Internal IMS Audits as assigned for the assigned location.
- Responsible for supporting External ISO Audits for the location.
Required Experience
- Required Years of Experience: 12-15 years QEHS
- Able to work autonomously, communicate across the organization
- Ability to co-ordinate activities with multiple stakeholders across a multi-functional environments and cultures
- Must work well in a global ‘virtual’ team environment, must collaborate with the Global IMS Team and associate functions
- Confident, motivating, and good presentation skills
- Strong analytical, technical, and statistical skills
- Proficient with Microsoft applications – Excel, PPT, Word, Teams, etc
- Process maps and flow charts for QEHS systems, or experience in development of QEHS procedures and processes
- Preferred, not required: Experience in auditing ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, ISO 22301 (Business Continuity), ISO/IEC 17025 (Laboratory accreditation), ISO 27001 (Info Sec), ISO 27001 and/or VDA (process audit)
- Preferred, not required: Experience of working within Quality Management or Continuous Improvement function
- Travel is appropriate for support of local, regional and global functions.
Educational / Professional or Vocational Qualifications
Preferred, not required for all items below:
- Minimum Level of Education: Bachelor
- Degree in safety, environmental science, engineering or other related fields
- Certified ISO and / or VDA auditor and / or certified business process management professional
- Six Sigma Green Belt
