Are you looking to grow your career in mechanical design within a supportive, innovative engineering team? We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to the development of high‑quality, cost‑effective products used across our industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing cost‑effective mechanical design solutions for integration into our product range.
- Managing and maintaining accurate component and technical data throughout the design lifecycle.
- Building, testing, and evaluating prototypes to verify performance and design intent.
- Working closely with experienced senior mechanical design engineers to learn, develop, and refine engineering skills.
- Supporting activities related to product approvals, manufacturing equipment issues, and fault diagnostics, including quality cases and production challenges.
- Participating in peer design reviews to ensure high standards of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Create mechanical designs for products and custom manufacturing equipment that meet all required standards and regulations.
- Develop designs based on product specifications or written instructions as part of a project team.
- Produce design documents, test specifications, and related technical information.
- Select suitable materials and components and support their approval process.
- Take part in design reviews to help ensure strong, reliable solutions.
- Build and test prototypes using 3D printing, machining, and other methods.
- Work to company procedures and ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Create detailed parts, assemblies, and drawings using 3D CAD tools.
- Carry out additional tasks as needed to support the business.
