Job Summary
Train customers, contractors and company personnel in the application, operation, maintenance, and installation of Landis+Gyr products
Key Responsibilities:
• Train customers in the implementation of system functionality.
• Develop training plans for Support Services, Sales and other departments as new release of software and hardware become available, with supervision from Technical Trainer II and/or Manager.
• Deliver and maintain on-line training modules currently delivered via WebEx.
• Teach classes in the applications, operation, maintenance, and installation of company products.
• Teach classes as required, at regional training facilities, customer locations and via WebEx.
• Coordinate training activities (room setup, courseware shipping, travel accommodations etc) for all training events.
• Develop with supervision and maintain courseware material used for training events. This material may include manuals, handouts, presentations, multi-media etc.
• Deliver customized training at customer locations.
• Guide students in the performance of class exercises.
• Coordinate the learning environment and evaluation of student performance against objectives.
• Receive feedback for classes conducted and communicate that to the training group.

• Effective presentation and communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Must have valid driver's license.
• Personal Computer knowledge
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
• Keyboard/typing skills
Accountabilities:
• Ability to consistently project a positive image of Landis+Gyr, both inside and outside of the classroom with customers, sales, and peers.
• Strong self-initiative and willingness to accept challenging projects.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must be able to work according to established training procedures.
• Ability to meet all requirements for instructor certification.
• Business travel requires a personal credit card with a limit sufficient to cover the Company’s standard two-week reimbursement cycle.
• Individuals must be willing and able to travel 50% of their work schedule. International travel may also be required.
Education and Experience:
• Associate (AA) or Bachelor's Degree in electronics, computer science, or related field plus a minimum of two years of experience in technical training or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Basic understanding of Landis+Gyr products.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements/Safety/PPE/OHSAS:
• Working Conditions: Typical indoor office environment with the majority of time spent sitting and working on a computer using keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Occasional use of other devices such as: phone, copier/printer/fax, etc.
• Physical Requirements: Typical office setting. Required to stand; walk; crouch; or handle objects. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Ability to sit and view computer screen for long periods of time. The ability to see, hear, & speak in English. Reasonable accommodations provided for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Personal Protection Equipment/Other OHSAS-18001 Safety Requirements: Ensure the continued efforts and assist in achieving annual goals of health, safety, and environmental policies. Must be current with available OSHA/Safety Training provided by the Company. If required, must be able to work while wearing safety equipment such as hard hats, work boats, gloves, hearing protection, and others.

Pay is in the range of $66,015 - $81,782 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
