Customer Account Representative

The Customer Account Representative is responsible for acting as primary interface with customers, deployment teams, managed service programs, partners, distributors, agents and sales department relative to the order management daily business as assigned.  


Receives, enters and manages all orders for assigned customers in accordance with governing contract terms as applicable.
Work with assigned customers prior to purchase order submission to ensure correct part numbers, pricing and terms are stated in accordance with governing contract or L+G terms and conditions.
Track status of assigned customer orders from receipt through delivery and answer any direct inquiries.
Answer OFT department telephone as assigned.
Coordinates with Senior Customer Account Representative or OFT Team Manager on exceptions to order status, shipping dates, prices, product availability and back orders.
Communicates all changes order to assigned customer, partner, distributor, agent or sales proactively. 
Works daily with assigned distributors, agents, program teams and sales team to provide additional support as needed within the scope of responsibilities for the OFT.
Provide back up support for other customer account representatives as necessary.
Complete set up process for new customers and maintain customer master data as assigned.
Daily facilitation of customer Support Agreements.
Set up and maintain Customer Management Relationship (CRM) system to include all assigned customer information including current data, customer activities, and sales opportunities.
Prepare customer quotes from standard price lists.
Communicate and perform order management activities relative to customer RMA's.
Work to ensure positive relations with customers, partners, employees and the public.
Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.
Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
Supports and adheres to Company’s code of conduct and Ethics Policy.  
Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.


Required Level of Education:  High School Diploma/Equivalent
Required Years of Experience:  2+ to 5

Desired Education/Experience:  2-year Associates degree in applicable field or equivalent with on the job experience in a customer service or equivalent field.  

Strong keyboard and computer skills including proficiency in MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access).  
Experience with order entry systems, software/systems conversion and providing customer support via phone is a plus.  

Excellent people skills and professionalism for customer communications.  
Strong aptitude towards learning and understanding technical products and services.  The ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and react promptly to customer requests.  
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Excellent relationship building and management skills.
