Coordinator Product Owner

Key Purpose of the Role

The PO Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and driving the execution of product initiatives while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day Product Owner activities. This role combines leadership, cross-functional coordination, and hands-on product ownership to ensure the successful delivery of features and solutions that maximize value for customers and the business.

Acting as the key interface between business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, and Product Management, the PO Coordinator ensures alignment between product strategy, customer needs, technical feasibility, and business priorities.

In addition to coordinating Product Owners and supporting prioritization and execution across squads, this role is expected to actively contribute to backlog management, requirement definition, feature detailing, stakeholder alignment, and Agile ceremonies, maintaining a strong operational presence within the development process.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Hands-on Execution

Closely collaborate with Product Management to develop expertise in product strategy, product vision, customer use cases, and business priorities.

Actively contribute to defining, refining, and prioritizing product requirements, features, epics, and user stories.

Analyze functional and technical requirements to produce optimized features and work items with clear, complete, and testable acceptance criteria covering end-to-end scenarios.

Manage and maintain the Product Backlog for assigned products and initiatives, ensuring traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

Work directly with engineering teams to clarify requirements, support technical discussions, estimate efforts, and build Sprint Backlogs.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Provide hands-on support during feature validation, defect analysis, and issue resolution, including participation in defect triage discussions when necessary.

Create and maintain functional documentation and collaborate with Technical Writers to ensure consistency and quality of customer-facing materials.

Conduct and support product demonstrations for internal stakeholders and customers.

 

Coordination & Leadership

Coordinate and support Product Owners across squads, ensuring alignment of priorities, delivery expectations, dependencies, and product direction.

Promote consistency in backlog quality, requirement detailing, Agile practices, and product ownership standards across teams.

Facilitate cross-functional alignment among Product Owners, Engineering, QA, System Architects, Product Management, and other stakeholders during design and decomposition phases.

Identify, manage, and mitigate cross-team dependencies and risks, ensuring proactive communication and resolution.

Support prioritization decisions balancing business impact, technical feasibility, customer value, and delivery timelines.

Act as a point of escalation and guidance for Product Owners regarding requirement clarification, prioritization, and execution challenges.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product processes, Agile maturity, and team collaboration.

Lead and develop the Product Owner team through regular 1:1 meetings, coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, and continuous feedback practices.

Support talent development initiatives by identifying growth opportunities, capability gaps, development plans, and succession needs within the team.

Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance environment, promoting engagement, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Manage team dynamics and conflict resolution effectively, ensuring healthy collaboration across squads and stakeholders.

Support hiring, onboarding, and integration of new team members when required.

Balance people leadership responsibilities with active hands-on contribution in product execution, backlog management, stakeholder alignment, and delivery activities..

 

 

What We Expect From You

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.

Proven experience in Product Owner, Senior Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar product-related roles with significant business impact and cross-functional interaction.

Previous experience coordinating teams, initiatives, or multiple product streams while maintaining hands-on operational involvement.

Strong experience in developing complex products and solutions, preferably in environments with high criticality and strong system integration requirements.

Experience working with software, hardware, and/or solution architecture from an end-to-end perspective, with the ability to assess both technical and business impacts.

Solid experience with Agile methodologies and Agile product delivery environments.

Strong ability to translate complex business and technical needs into clear, actionable, and well-structured product requirements.

Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven prioritization decisions.

Ability to balance strategic coordination responsibilities with hands-on execution and operational delivery.

Experience working in cross-functional and global environments.

Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in global environments.

Experience with Smart Grid solutions is a plus.

Experience in energy, utilities, IoT, or smart infrastructure environments is a plus.
