Cloud Compliance and Recovery Analyst

This role will be responsible for ensuring the company’s compliance framework controls are properly applied and maintained within the cloud environments, with a focus on the controls that ensure proper recovery is in place.  This person will work with multiple teams that are moving to the cloud for their technology needs and give guidance and direction for recovery and compliance requirements.  This person will also be responsible for leading internal and external cloud IT Security audits.


Key Responsibilities


Drive alignment with global compliance framework within the cloud environments (Google, AWS, Azure)

Drives reviews of cloud compliance and regulatory activities across a broad stakeholder group. Works with stakeholders to effectively map corporate policies, standards, controls, and procedures to cloud technology and cloud solutions.

Develops and drives management reporting and dashboards for consumption at an executive leadership level for cloud compliance status.

Work with various operational and business teams to drive toward a cohesive view of compliance and recovery requirements for cloud use.

Conduct technical recovery risk assessments for cloud technology and solutions.

Collaborate with IT & Business stakeholders to design recovery solutions and build out recovery practices that will achieve the desired recovery capability with cloud solutions and technology.

Lead the execution of technical recovery exercises to ensure the successful testing of recovery plans for cloud technology and solutions.

Assist in the development and maintenance of effective recovery metrics.

Consult on recovery solutions and architectures based on company standards.

Supports and adheres to Company’s core values.
Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.


Education and Experience


Required Minimum Years of Experience: 2+ to 5

Desired Education/Experience: 
•    BA or equivalent education and experience 
•    3 or more years of Information Security experience and/or
•    3 or more years of experience in planning and executing Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity processes, tests, tabletop exercises.
•    5 years working within information technology.
•    1+ year working with cloud environments (Google preferred)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


•    Strong documentation and communication skills
•    Ability to work independently
•    Experience with complying with IT Security certifications (ISO27001, SSAE)
•    Experience working within cloud environments
•    Experience working with IT to develop and test disaster recovery plans
•    Experience working with compliance frameworks, focused on recovery and resiliency
•    Working knowledge of Cloud solutions and cloud concepts
