We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Paralegal (100%) to join our Global Legal & Compliance Team at our headquarters in Cham, near Zurich, Switzerland. In this key role, you will report directly to the Group General Counsel and provide quality, precise, and relevant support on a wide range of corporate legal matters across the Landis+Gyr global group.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Group General Counsel in corporate law activities, including corporate secretary support, AGM topics, capital market law matters (including SIX regulation), and ensuring corporate housekeeping.
- Preparing legal documents, board presentations, and supporting the organization and execution of board and committee meetings, as well as general meetings.
- Supporting compliance with Stock Exchange listing obligations, such as ongoing disclosures and corporate governance requirements.
- Managing the corporate housekeeping process in coordination with external service providers.
- Supporting the Commercial Law Team in tender projects, litigations, and other group-wide legal initiatives.
- Providing research on legal matters, such as corporate governance, and offering support on strategic projects, including M&A activities.
- Coordinating and managing external legal counsel and service providers, while monitoring legal spending.
- Assisting with the creation and development of template documents and drafting relevant legal policies.
- Providing administrative support to the Group General Counsel and the Head of Commercial Law.
This position requires the following skills and experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in corporate legal matters, either in a legal department or a law firm.
- Law degree or paralegal training.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of diligence, legal precision, and care.
- Fluent oral and written English and German.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive team player with a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently.
- Natural problem-solving ability, with commercial curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability in advancing projects.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, multi-jurisdictional, and cross-cultural environment with cultural sensitivity.
